i. Choose your piece

Explore the collection and choose the jewellery, metal and finish that feel right for you.

ii. Send your material

Once you've ordered, you'll receive everything you need to safely prepare and send your breastmilk or keepsake material to me.

iii. I preserve and set it

Your material is carefully prepared and incorporated into your chosen jewellery piece in my Bath studio. Each piece is worked on individually, with particular care given to the material entrusted to me.

iv. Wear your story

Your finished jewellery is carefully checked and packaged before being sent to you, ready to become part of your everyday life.

Demeter Jewellery is a small independent studio creating breastmilk and keepsake jewellery in Bath, Somerset. Rooted in myth. Inspired by nature. Made for the things we want to keep.

Demeter was the ancient Greek goddess of nourishment, motherhood, growth and the changing seasons.

Her story felt like the right place to begin.

Because life is full of seasons. Some arrive quietly; others change everything.

Demeter is about keeping a trace of those moments - not trying to hold onto them forever, but carrying something of them forward.

Breastmilk jewellery is a personal keepsake made by preserving a small amount of your own breastmilk and incorporating it into a piece of jewellery. At Demeter, your milk is carefully prepared and set into your chosen ring, pendant or other piece, creating a lasting reminder of your breastfeeding journey.

How much breastmilk do I need to send?

Only a very small amount is needed. You'll receive clear instructions after ordering.

What can I preserve in a keepsake piece?

Depending on the design, we can incorporate materials including hair, birth flowers, birthstones and crushed sea glass.

How long does my jewellery take?

Each piece is prepared to order. Most orders take approximately 8–12 weeks from receipt of your material.

Do I have to be breastfeeding to order from Demeter?

Not at all. Demeter is for anyone who has something meaningful they'd like to preserve.
